PLASTIC APPLICATIONS AND OUTLETS
Appropriately selected WAXOLINE® polymer-soluble dyes give excellent all-round performance in: PS (Polystyrene), SAN, ABS, PMMA, PC, PETP and PETB, POM, unplasticised PVC and PPO. WAXOLINE® solvent dyes contribute resistances (strengths) against different phenomena that affect dye’s performance.
- Light fastness: persistence of a colour after having received a certain amount of UV radiation.
- Chemical fastness: colour resistance in chemically aggressive environments (acidic or basic).
- Heat fastness: colour resistance to temperature, mainly during processing.
- Migration fastness: migration of pigment.

What is WAXOLINE® Solvent Dyes used for?
WAXOLINE® Solvent Dyes are widely used in the coloring of candles and wax products. The shades displayed are marked with a suggested percentage of dye needed to achieve the desired color.
To apply WAXOLINE® in waxes, first it’s necessary to melt this material. As WAXOLINE® are soluble dyes, they do not require dispersion, so they will solubilize and color upon contact with the molten wax. This, once cooled, will return to the solid state with the added color, converting it in perfect color dyes for candles.
What are the different types of waxes for candles?
We distinguish them into natural waxes, coming from animal origin, formed by fatty acids, esters, and alcohols, while synthetic waxes are mostly composed of kerosene, a petroleum derivative by refining based on a hydrocarbon chain without functional groups.
What are the Characteristics of kerosene wax?
The main characteristics of kerosene wax are its malleability, melting point, and thermal conduction. Originally solid, it reaches its melting point between 51.7°C and 54.5°C. Once in a liquid state, it is capable of transmitting, a thermal sensation by transferring heat by conduction. (Synthetic wax).
Beeswax has a high moisturizing capacity, good nourishing and healing properties good nourishing and healing properties anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties
